Poster with a black crow sitting on the branch of a blooming tree after a woodblock print by Japanese master Ohara koson.
Koson was part of the shin-hanga movement in the beginning of the 20th century and active in revitalizing traditional Japanese crafts like woodblock printing. He is most famous for his pictures of birds and flowers in the kacho-é tradtion.
This lonely crow looks like it could use some company under the moon. It is one of several images of crows, that Koson made in the 1920s.
